It’s the romantic ideal that many of us aspire to, but few realize – to end up with our high school sweetheart. This incredible couple have realized this ideal, and I had such a great time capturing their downtown Calgary wedding.
They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Jospeh’s cathedral in downtown Calgary, and then we stopped at some of my favourite spots around town for pictures. Confederation Park was a beautiful spot to bring along their wedding party and families. They included many small children in their family photos, and they were such troopers! They were all so great at smiling and looking at the camera, which is a photographers dream! Luckily the rain held off (mostly), and provided some dramatic skies over the city skyline.
They capped off the night with their reception at the Strathcona Christie Community Association. It was beautifully decorated, and made the venue look so classy. Kaitlyn even decorated the centerpieces herself!
