Hi, I'm Laura!
I’m a full time adventure elopement + wedding photographer based next to the Rocky Mountains in Alberta. I was born and raised here, and despite having traveled the world for many years, I came back to be near the mountains that inspire me, and call it home once again. I met the love of my life (Craig) on a bus stop at university and we have been navigating life and adventures together for over 10 years now. We like to nerd out together over science-y things and saving the environment. Our honeymoon consisted of backpacking the Juan De Fuca trail and then spending a week surfing and hot tubing in Tofino. Kodi is our fur baby/rescue dog who takes up far too much space on the couch and thinks that hiking in the mountains is just the bees knees. I am also a mom to two young kiddos and we love watching the world through their eyes and nurturing a love of the outdoors in them.
I love traveling and first picked up a camera in 2004, while adventuring around South Africa. I haven’t put the camera down since, and eventually I found my calling in capturing spontaneous and adventurous couples in wild places. I am so passionate about being an elopement photographer and an intimate wedding photographer, and as someone who can never sit still, it is the best job. I am always in search of new amazing and unique locations, with my camera gear close at hand. I love being in the great outdoors, and enjoy photographing people connecting in nature. Getting married is the adventure of a lifetime, so why shouldn’t your wedding day be one as well? I want your day to be a true representation of YOU, where you can be yourselves and commit your love for one another in a gorgeous and epic location. I hate stiff awkward poses, because honestly, neither you nor I would enjoy that.
