Beautiful Elopement at Emerald Lake Lodge

I can never say enough amazing things about having an elopement at Emerald Lake Lodge. Not only is it a quiet, quaint, and stunning location, but the lodge also has the best food around and you can take a canoe ride on the stunning alpine lake! This was the perfect location for Erica + Mike to elope, and they decided to have an intimate day with only a few friends and family members along to witness their “I do’s”.

The most important thing for them on their wedding day was to create awesome memories and capture them in beautiful photos, and that is right up my alley! I love when couples prioritize their love and connection, and I was so excited to snap some pictures for them. We started off the day with the ceremony overlooking the lodge, lake, and mountainous scenery, and then headed to a few of my favourite local spots for pictures. They came all the way from Ohio to elope in the beauty of the Rockies, so it was fun getting to show them the sights. It is always so exciting to show off places in the mountains with couples who are seeing them for the first time. It makes me even more grateful to live nestled beside this beautiful place.

They also wanted to have a canoe ride, because is there anything more romantic? I always get flashbacks of the notebook when couples hop in a canoe! Finally, they said they couldn’t finish the day without a butt grab photo, and I happily obliged! What an incredible day!
